Buddha's Devotion

I live at the edge of a Vietnamese/Chinese neighborhood, and one of my favorite places is an Oriental barbecue place. The owners are devout Buddhists, and they kindly gave me permission to photograph and then make a computer drawing of their personal shrine.
Chihuly Glass Ceiling

Dale Chihuly is a glass artist in Tacoma, Washington. This is based on a ceiling on a bridgeway to his museum and workshop. The ceiling is transparent and has some of his glasswork embedded in it.
Opium Dreams

This is inspired by the famous classic poem Kubla Khan by the English poet Coleridge, who is said to have dreamed this poem after taking opium for an illness. He woke up and immediately began to write it down when someone knocked at his door. After the visit, he attempted to recall the rest of the poem, but he only had a part of it. Nevertheless, this is considered to be one of the English language's finest poems.

Federal Desk

This desk sits in my livingroom and was built before the American revolution of 1776. It is made of large solid pieces of wood and has a great simple beauty. The lamp has a mica shade. I tried very hard to capture the feeling of the light as it spills across the table.
